Psychiatry Resident

Antonios Anagnostopoulos, DO is a 2nd year psychiatry resident at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center affiliated with Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Raised in the Washington metropolitan area, he received his undergraduate education at Emory University, graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Global Health, Culture, and Society. He attended and graduated from medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Through culminative experiences as an Eagle Scout and working at the National Institute on Aging, he developed an interest in public service and the sciences. During his tenure as an Emory undergraduate, his interests in medicine, particularly psychiatry, developed as he pursued sociology and science courses which focused on mental health through an interdisciplinary perspective. Interest in the field further solidified during medical school and during rotations. His current interest in the field of psychiatry is in the Consult and Liaison service.
