Associate Professor of Psychiatry
Western Michigan Univ, HS School of Medicine
As associate professor of psychiatry at Western Michigan University's School of Medicine, I run the consultation liaison service for our residency program at one of the major hospital. Having over 20 years of experience in both academic and clinical settings has helped me prepare to establish and successfully also run my own outpatient practice for last 10 years.
Throughout these various roles, I have gained trust among medial students, residents and peers for providing compassionate, knowledgeable and comprehensive care for patients suffering from complex psychiatric issues while striving to provide good educational opportunities for students and residents.
I have an avid interest in a broad spectrum of psychiatric issues, especially in areas such as women's behavioral health, psychodermatology, and psychosomatic medicine. In addition to authoring Pediatric Psychodermatology: A Clinical Manual of Child and Adolescent Psychocutaneous Disorders, my research has been published in a variety of prestigious journals, as well as presented at national and international conferences.
