Zoey Schmidt, LCSW, CSAC has been working in the social services field since 2015; she started working primarily with patients struggling with addiction. She went on to further her education at a masters level at UW-Milwaukee where she obtained her Masters of Social Work in 2018. Since graduation, she has been working primarily with mental health patients, inclusive of addiction. She has worked with a diverse population within the correctional system, hospital (both psychiatric and medical) system, and on an individual outpatient basis.
Currently, she is the Psychiatric Social Worker in the Emergency Department at Froedtert Hospital working on the ED Psychiatry team that is embedded in the department. Her passion is working with this population in hopes to help create positive change and decrease stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction. Outside of work she enjoys the outdoors, yoga, time with friends, family and animals.
