Mohamed W. ElSayed, MD, MSc, is an inpatient psychiatrist at New Hampshire Hospital. Dr. ElSayed earned his master’s degree in neurology and psychiatry, as well as his medical degree from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He completed his clinical internship and residency at Ain Shams University hospitals.
Following the completion of his medical training in Egypt, Dr. ElSayed joined the Schizophrenia Neuropsychopharmacology Group at Yale (SNRGY) with Yale University, School of Medicine, VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven. He then did his psychiatry residency SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He is currently working toward a PhD degree in biomedical engineering at SUNY Downstate School of Graduate Studies/NYU Tandon School of Engineering. At NHH, Dr. ElSayed’s core work is on “C” unit of NH hospital where he leads a multidisciplinary team addressing acute psychiatric admissions. His team manages half of the unit admissions (12 out of 24 inpatient beds).
