Andrew Spitzberg is a resident physician in the Research Track of the General Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Zucker Hillside Hospital.
Andrew was born and raised in Tenafly, NJ. He graduated from the University of Rochester in 2014 with a B.S. in Neuroscience. Before beginning his medical education, he lived and volunteered abroad in Sofia, Bulgaria and spent time touring and recording with his band. He graduated from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2020 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. At Keck, he was a founding member of the first student-run Human Rights Clinic on the West Coast providing medical affidavits to members of immigrant communities seeking asylum across Los Angeles. He spends his free time cooking, camping, hiking, and playing music. Within psychiatry his passions include psychedelics and psychedelic assisted therapy, neuroimaging and neurocircuitry, ECT/TMS, and research in novel pharmacotherapies.
