Ryan Serdenes is a resident physician in psychiatry at Temple University Hospital. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Philadelphia Psychiatric Society, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He has had posters accepted to local and national meetings involving topics such as neuroleptic malignant syndrome, frontotemporal dementia, and depression in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, among others. Current research/academic interest include neuroleptic malignant syndrome, psychiatric manifestation of hyperparathyroidism, psychiatric illness in COPD, predictors of psychiatric admission, treatment of psychogenic polydipsia, psychiatric manifestations of FTD, and acetaminophen overdose and suicidality. He plans on pursuing a consultation liaison fellowship after residency and seeks a career in academic medicine and medical education.
