Deidre Hussey,PsyD is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Supervisor at Baystate’s Family Advocacy Center (FAC) in Springfield, MA. The FAC is a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center. In her role, Dr. Hussey oversees the therapy team, student training program, the implementation of trauma focused evidenced-base treatments, and trainings. Dr. Hussey is a certified TF-CBT clinician and is trained in a variety of evidenced-based treatments for youth, families and adults who have been impacted by trauma. Dr. Hussey has experience with program coordination and the implementation of community based programming to meet the needs of under-served populations. She oversees the FAC’s One Mission Program which provides service coordination and case management for youth who are at high risk or have experienced sexual exploitation. Dr. Hussey conducts trainings for community organizations and has presented at national and international conferences on topics related to trauma informed practices, the impact of trauma on children and adults, interpersonal violence, secondary traumatic stress and best practices, and the sexual exploitation of children. Dr. Hussey is trained in Psychological First Aid and the My Life My Choice Curriculum, and is a nationally recognized trainer in the Core Curriculum of Childhood Trauma and the FORECAST model.
