Dino Messina MD PhD FACP received his MD and PhD from the State University of New York in Syracuse. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2012. In 2016, he joined the faculty at Brown as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of General Internal Medicine as the Medical Director of the Center for Primary Care. In 2018 he was promoted to Associate Professor of Medicine. He is an active member of the Society of General Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Messina's areas of clinical interest include: improving health outcomes for vulnerable patient populations; the impact of health literacy on chronic disease management; improving the continuity clinic experience for medical trainees and preservation of the doctor-patient relationship.
He enjoys fly fishing, kayaking, cycling and anything outdoors but most of all time with his wife and son.
