Dr. Chris Villongco graduated from Emory University where he published in the American Journal of Primatology for work in early life stress in Rhesus Macaques. He continued to Morehouse School of Medicine, and as a medical student conducted research at Harvard Medical School looking at the inflammatory effects of insomnia. He continued to receive his psychiatry training at Morehouse School of Medicine, were he interned at a start-up later publishing in AJOB Neuroscience on the ethics of voice computing in mental health and low-income minority populations. He was selected for the psychiatry research track of Morehouse School of Medicine and his current research focuses on addiction medicine and collaborative care in the Philippines. Christopher also collaborates with the Georgia Human Rights Clinic to advocate for improved mental healthcare for individuals in immigrant detention centers. Outside of work, he enjoys film photography, tennis, and nature.
