Sarah MacLaurin is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at the Freedom Trail Clinic. She is Director of Community Health Integration for NSMHA and SCRP. She co-directs the Public and Community Psychiatry Fellowship. Sarah works closely with DMH, specifically, the homeless shelters located in the Erich Lindemann Mental Health Center. In this role she advocates for systemic change while supporting the education of psychiatry residents. Following her undergraduate education, Sarah worked at The Scripps Research Institute (CA) on the neurodevelopment of schizophrenia, then at Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research in molecular imaging. Since 2016, Sarah has been a clinical instructor, training the next generation of psychiatric nurse practitioners.
