Dr. Celano is an attending psychiatrist and clinical researcher at the Massachusetts General Hospital. After finishing his CL fellowship at MGH in 2012, Dr. Celano shifted his focus to performing research on the intersection between psychiatric and cardiovascular health. His work focuses on the promotion of well-being and health behaviors in patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions, as well as the use of collaborative care interventions in patients with acute medical illness. He is the author of over 80 articles and book chapters and serves as the Associate Director of the Cardiac Psychiatry Research Program at MGH and as an associate editor of General Hospital Psychiatry, a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on inpatient, emergency, and consultation psychiatry.
