Dr. Anderson is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, UCSF Weill Institute for the Neurosciences. Clinically, he works as an attending in the Psychiatric Emergency Services of Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. His research currently focuses on the mental health needs of patients with serious and life-threatening medical illness.
Dr. Anderson completed medical school at Stanford University, and his internship and general adult psychiatric residency at UCSF. He completed a mental health research fellowship at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He also holds a masters in medical sociology from the London School of Economics.
