Assistant Attending
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
New York, New York, United States
I am a board-certified psychiatrist with additional board certification in consultation-liaison psychiatry. My clinical work, teaching, and research interests reflect a longstanding commitment to meeting the psychiatric needs of cancer patients with the goal of reducing their distress and improving their quality of life. I serve as the psychiatric liaison to the Colorectal Cancer Disease Management Team. I help people manage symptoms such as anxiety, depression, fatigue, cognitive changes, and sleep disturbances while considering the psychological and biological impact of their clinical and personal situations, cancer treatments, and other medications. My collaborative research interests have focused on the psychiatric needs of early onset colorectal cancer patients, and I look forward to further examining the role of inflammation and its association with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress symptoms.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
