A graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Anita trained first at Detroit Medical Center with Wayne State University in general psychiatry, then completed her fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at Stanford University. She is currently a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at Ohio State University where she belongs to the inpatient CLP team. She teaches medical students and psychiatry residents as well as CL fellows with focuses on psychiatric formulations, ethics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. When she's not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her growing family and staying connected with friends, even if only in the virtual world.
