Rachel A. Caravella, MD

Dr. Caravella is the current Associate Director of the CL Psychiatry Service at NYU Langone Health - Manhattan Campuses. She earned her MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed Adult Psychiatry Residency at Columbia University Medical Center / NY Presbyterian Hospital (CUMC/NYPH) where she also served as Chief Resident. Afterwards, she completed fellowships in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and Women's Mental Health at CUMC/NYPH. She is a dedicated clinician educator who loves the field. Her professional interests include medical ethics, transplant psychiatry, quality improvement, medical education, bioinformatics, and telepsychiatry. Dr. Caravella has presented at numerous workshops and posters at ACLP, APA, AAP, and AADPRT. She currently lives in Westchester with her husband and two young daughters.
