I am an expert in both qualitative and quantitative clinical trial research methods. As a senior project director at the Phyllis F. Cantor Center, Research in Nursing and Patient Care, and a recent Ph.D. in Medical Sociology, I actively manage multiple federally-funded research studies on interventions to improve symptom burden and quality of life in cancer patients. In this capacity, I have completed clinical trials testing the usability and acceptability of smartphone apps by both patients and providers to track and manage cancer-related symptoms.
In addition, for the past five years, I have collaborated with Dr. Ilana Braun in designing, implementing, and disseminating medicinal cannabis research. I am particularly interested in leading socio-behavioral studies to examine minority perceptions of cannabis use. As the evidence of the potential benefits of cannabis accumulates, it is crucial to understand the minority populations' cannabis use by exploring nationally representative databases such as BRFSS and NHANES. Utilizing national registries can be a potential source to help generate health profiles of minority populations cannabis use and identify sampling techniques to draw representative samples for future studies.
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
