Josh Wortzel is a psychiatry resident at the University of Rochester. He completed his A.B. in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology at Harvard College, his M.Phil. in Clinical Research at Cambridge University, and his M.D. at Stanford University. During residency, he is pursuing a Master’s in Health Professions Education at the University of Rochester. He is passionate about medical education reform to incorporate adult learning theory and online/virtual modalities into medical training. Much of his current research involves developing curricula and educational interventions in psychiatry, as well as studying the impacts of climate on mental health. He is a member of the APA Climate and Mental Health Committee, the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry Climate Committee, and the steering committee of the national consortium Climate Psychiatry Alliance. He is the chair of the APA/APAF Leadership Fellow, is a Trainee Editorial Fellow for Academic Psychiatry, and he is a chief resident of his training program next year. He is thrilled and honored for this opportunity to present his research at ACLP.
