Kathy Bettinardi-Angres APN-BC, MS, RN, CADC is the Coordinator of a national fitness for duty evaluation program, MCAP Chicago, since 2014, and also functions as a family therapist for Positive Sobriety Institute in Chicago. She began her career in 1978 as a staff nurse in a PICU at Rush, followed by the Head Nurse position of the trauma unit at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After achieving her psychiatric nurse practitioner degree from Rush University she worked in the treatment of healthcare professionals with dual diagnoses and substance use disorder, also publishing numerous journal articles on this topic.
