Janna Gordon-Elliott, MD, FACLP, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at New-YorkPresbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. She has formerly served as the Chief of the Psychiatric Consultation-Liaison Service, Site Program Director for the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NYP, Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry, and the transplant psychiatrist for the Pancreas-Kidney and the Liver Transplant Services. Currently, as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Student Life for the WCM Medical School, she serves as the administrative support and liaison for students as they navigate their learning environment, and draws from her clinical and content expertise to enhance the medical school’s wellness programming. Clinically, she provides psychiatric care for patients within the NYP Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Service; in her faculty practice, she focuses on psychotherapy and psychopharmacology in the areas of women's health, depression and anxiety, sports psychiatry, and mental health in the setting of medical illness. Her scholarly activities concentrate on medical education, well-being, exercise and eating in mental healthcare, and psychiatric issues in patients with chronic disease.
