Hired in 1997, Leo Pozuelo is a staff psychiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic and has served as Section Head of Consultation Psychiatry from 2005-2019.
He is dual trained in internal medicine and psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Academy of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry.
He has served as psychiatry residency director and as medical school psychiatry clerkship director.
He maintains a behavioral cardiology clinic.
In 2011, he was appointed Vice Chair, Clinical Operations, at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology of the Cleveland Clinic.
He collaborates with Cleveland Clinic Community Care (4Cs) in strategic development and hiring of mental health professionals to serve primary care patients.
In 2017, he completed a Health Care MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
He took over the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry fellowship in 2019.
Also in 2019, he was elected to Board of Governors (BOG) of the Cleveland Clinic, which advises the CEO and Chief of Staff.
In 2021, he was appointed Center Director for Adult Behavioral Health, supervising 116 clinicians and a comprehensive array of psychiatric services in North East Ohio.
