Amber has over 8 years of experience working in the field of intimate partner violence, particularly focusing on violence prevention efforts, and improving the healthcare sector response. She has a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Clinical and Translational Science, during which she conducted research investigating the intersection of intimate partner violence and substance use. She also has a MSPH from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and has worked for several public health organizations, including the World Health Organization, the Pan American Health Organization, and the US Agency for International Development. She is currently a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is applying into pediatrics.
