After graduating medical school in 2012, Dr. Schmajuk completed her psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY. While there she developed interests in treatment of psychiatric disorders within the medically ill and their families. Dr. Schmajuk went on to complete her fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center in 2017. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and focuses on clinical ethics. She also has interests in fellowship education, psychotherapy at the end of life, healthcare inequities and emergency medicine.
