Dr. Jeremy Bass joined the Department of Psychiatry at UCSD after completing his fellowship in Clinical Informatics there. He had practiced in a variety of communities in a variety of setting prior to returning for fellowship. He has been instrumental in the development of the brain modulation division within the department. He has contributed to the standardization of care across the department, implementation of measurement-based care, and use of clinical-decision support to improve psychiatric care via clinical informatics methods.
His clinical interests are in identifying patients for more appropriate levels of care, use of data in clinical practice, and improving utilization of resources in mental health all with the goal of improving outcomes. His prior experience includes his education in engineering, interning with a novel start-up to provide telehealth and measurement-based care in the rural south, and prior clinical work in a variety of settings. He continues his work in clinical informatics through the previously listed methods in the department and is a certified Epic Physician Builder. He serves as the department’s IS faculty representative. He is currently serving with Dr. Daskalakis in the division of Interventional Psychiatry.
